Practical AI training workshops for PR and communications teams, delivered by a working PR consultant and CPD-certified AI trainer.

Most AI training is delivered by people with a technology background who have never worked in PR. This training is different.

I'm Rob Phillimore, a working PR consultant and CPD-certified AI trainer. I use tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity every day in live campaigns for real clients. Everything taught in the workshops comes from how these tools actually perform in a PR context, including the places they fall short.

WHAT YOUR TEAM WILL WALK AWAY WITH

A working understanding of the AI tools most relevant to PR, including what each one does well and where they fall short.

The ability to write clear, effective prompts that consistently produce strong outputs for PR tasks across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

Practical skills for drafting press releases, email pitches, LinkedIn content and long-form copy faster, without sacrificing quality or brand voice.

Confidence to integrate AI into day-to-day workflows in a way that complements the human thinking that is the backbone of good PR.

HOW THE SESSION WORKS

Sessions are live and interactive throughout, with live demonstrations, hands-on exercises and a dedicated prompt lab where participants work through real PR tasks with guidance and feedback.

Online delivery via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. In-person delivery at your office or chosen venue across the UK. International in-person sessions available on request.

Maximum 20 participants per session.

PR and communications professionals at any level, whether you're in-house or agency-side, a seasoned practitioner or newer to the field. No jargon. No technical background needed. Just practical skills you use the next day.

If your team creates content, pitches media or manages communications, this training is relevant to your work.

WHO THIS IS FOR

PR teams spend a significant portion of each week on first drafts, pitch personalisation and routine content tasks. Used well, AI tools can reduce that time substantially, freeing capacity for relationships, strategy and higher-value work.

THE BUSINESS CASE FOR AI TRAINING

A team of 20 saving an average of three hours per week on routine tasks reclaims roughly 3,000 hours a year. At typical in-house PR rates, that represents £75,000 to £120,000 in reclaimed capacity annually, set against a training investment that recovers itself inside the first two weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any technical knowledge to attend?

No. The session is designed for PR and communications professionals, not developers or data scientists. If you can write a brief or draft a press release, you have everything you need to get started.

Which AI tools does the training cover?

The session focuses on the tools most relevant to PR work — primarily ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. The emphasis is on how to use them effectively for PR tasks rather than a broad overview of every tool on the market.

How is this different from generic AI training?

The training is built on day-to-day experience using these tools in live PR campaigns. Examples, exercises and guidance are specific to how AI tools actually perform for PR tasks, including the places they fall short.

Can the session be tailored to our team?

Yes. While the core content is consistent across sessions, I can adapt examples, exercises and focus areas to reflect your team's specific work, sector or priorities. Get in touch to discuss what would work best.

What is the maximum group size?

Sessions accommodate up to 20 participants. For larger teams, a bespoke multi-session programme is available — get in touch to discuss options.

Is the training available outside the UK?

Online sessions are available to teams anywhere. In-person sessions are primarily delivered across the UK, with international delivery available on request.

What happens after the session?

Participants leave with practical skills they can apply straight away, plus prompt templates and worksheets to support continued AI application in their work. There is no formal follow-up programme included as standard, though bespoke ongoing support or additional sessions can be arranged separately.

Is this CPD-certified training?

The training is delivered by a CPD-certified AI trainer. While I cannot provide formal CPD documentation for participants at present, the session is structured around practical, applied learning that directly supports professional development in PR and communications.
